A simplified technique for fabricating complete dentures for patients with Parkinson’s disease: a case report

Background and Objective: Parkinson’s disease is a neurological disorder that affects 1% of individuals aged 60 years older. The associated symptoms can impose limitations on the available dental treatment options. Case description: This case report follows CARE guidelines presents an adapted simplified technique to fabricate complete dentures for 74-year-old male edentulous patient with disease. modified enabled fabrication in 4 clinical sessions approximately 40 minutes. first session involved manufacturing preliminary impression fast-setting alginate. base plates occlusal rims were then adjusted artificial teeth arrangement during second session. final prosthesis was completed third session, which try-in functional low-melting thermoplastic material polyether. Finally, denture installation performed fourth follow-up consisted 3 weekly sessions. Discussion: Considering provided satisfactory aesthetics function, mastication socialization benefits, improved self-esteem well-being older disease, authors suggest this fabricating dentures.
